Thai Massage

Thai massage, also known as Nuad Boran or Thai yoga massage, is a traditional healing art that originated in Thailand over 2,500 years ago. It combines elements of acupressure, yoga-like stretching, and energy work to provide a unique and therapeutic experience.

During a Thai massage, the recipient typically lies on a mat on the floor, fully clothed. The practitioner uses their hands, thumbs, elbows, knees, and feet to apply pressure to specific points on the body and perform stretching movements. The massage follows the energy lines of the body, known as “Sen lines,” aiming to release tension, improve flexibility, and promote the free flow of energy.

Thai massage is often described as a dynamic and interactive form of bodywork where the recipient is guided through a series of yoga-inspired stretches. The combination of compression, stretching, and rocking movements helps to relax the muscles, enhance flexibility, and promote overall well-being.

It’s essential to communicate with the massage therapist during a Thai massage to ensure that the pressure and stretching movements are comfortable and suitable for the individual’s needs and preferences.
